Accessible Community Transport Southside (ACTSLtd) provides door to door demand responsive accessible transport for people with disabilities and mobility difficulties across south and west Dublin. ACTS limited is not for Profit Limited Company with Charitable Status (CHY 14990).

How To Use the Service:

ACTS Community Transport operates as a Travel Club for People with Disabilities and People with Limited Mobility.

To use this service you must join the ACTSltd Travel Club. You can avail of our service by giving us a call and making a booking.

We aim to get back to you within fifteen minutes to confirm if your booking is possible both for the inward and return journey.

We advise all booking be made 48 hours in advance. However, we do our utmost to deal with emergency calls on the day.

Accessible Fleet:

At present, we operate a fleet of 9 accessible minibuses, six operational, two as backup (all 8 seater vehicles), and one fifteen seater.

All our vehicles are specially adapted with Inotrax Flooring System, Ricon Lifts at rear and capacity for up to 3 wheelchairs using 4 point restraints for anchoring the chairs on the tracked floor. Safe and reliable transport of our passengers is of utmost importance to us as testified by the experience of our members who have used the service.

A 15 seater Accessible Minibus is available for bookings for Community Groups and Organizations, and for any other outings you may require. 

7 Day Service:

We provide a seven day service starting from 7am till 10pm with six accessible buses operating locally in areas from Dun Laoghaire to Tallaght / Clondalkin from Monday to Fridays and up to three accessible buses available for booking in the evenings and weekend. After hours service available upon request.

ACTSltd door to door service is provided by our professional drivers, all trained in Disability Awareness, Occupational First Aid and hold Certificates in the Midas Driver Awareness Scheme in conjunction with the Community Transport Association of Ireland.

What Do Our Members Use the Service For?

ACTSltd bring people regularly to Work, Training Centres, Daycare. In the off-peak time (10am - 2:30PM) or in the evenings we can respond to other types of bookings such as taking people to Medical / Dental Appointments and to meetings, shopping or going out socially.

We have a contribution fare rate in place that meet the costs of running the service and we send out invoices to members and organisations that use the service at the end of each month.

Members can pay by Cheque / Postal Order or by setting up a standing order to the ACTSltd bank account upon request.

ACTSltd is an important and essential service for the many people with Disabilities and Mobility difficulties who have used the travel club since Feb 2002.
Currently we have 1400 members and over 1000 of those members are wheelchair users.
